Privacy notice

This notice covers auctionscoutai.com (the website, the county, state, sale and Ledger pages, and the live demo), the Ledger e-mail, and the app at portal.auctionscoutai.com. It says what we record, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
When you visit our pages
Each time a page is opened we record one visit:
- the time and the page (for example /auctions/il/cook);
- your IP address;
- what our hosting provider, Cloudflare, reports about that address: the network that owns it (such as your internet provider or company), and its approximate location (city, state, country);
- your browser, operating system and kind of device (from your browser's user agent);
- the name of the website that sent you, if any (for example google.com), never the full link or what you searched for.
We use this to understand which pages are read and how people find us. We may look up the public name registered for an IP address (a "reverse DNS" lookup, done through Cloudflare's public DNS service); for most home connections that name only identifies the internet provider. Visit records are deleted after 30 days. Search-engine robots that identify themselves are not recorded.
The live demo saves the deal settings you change in your own browser (local storage), so they are still there next time. They never leave your browser.
When you subscribe to the Ledger
We keep your name, e-mail address and the state you chose, when you signed up and confirmed, and which weekly Ledgers we sent you. We use them only to send the Ledger and the e-mails about your subscription. Every Ledger has a one-click unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so it is never mailed again; ask us and we will delete it entirely.
When you open an account
- Account details: your name and e-mail address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash (we cannot read it). If you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Facebook, we receive your name, e-mail address and an account identifier from them, nothing else.
- What you do in the app: the areas you pick, saved searches and alerts, favorites, projects, notes and comments, team members you invite, and API keys you create.
- Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us; we keep your plan, its status and Stripe's customer reference.
- Where you came from: the page or link that brought you to sign up (for example a county page), kept with your account so we know which pages lead to customers.
We keep account information while your account is open. Ask us to close it and we delete your account and what is stored with it, except billing records that the law requires us to keep.

All of them are first-party: set by us, for our own site. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who handles information for us

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
About the properties we list
Auction listings come from public county records: sale notices, results and property records. We do not store or show the names of buyers, borrowers, owners or defendants.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the Ledger with the link in any issue.
- Turn alerts on or off in the app.
- Ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to privacy@auctionscoutai.com. We answer within 30 days. To delete visit records for an IP address, include the address.
Our services are for adults working in real estate and are not meant for children under 16.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we update this page and its date.
